The property is located in the heart of the Natural Protected Park of “Roman Castles Hills”, an area endowed with beautiful lakes and extensive deep green, century old forests. The two villas share the use of a very large swimming pool with the owners of the Estate, who use the third villa. Villa Arianna and Villa Roberta are located in the middle of an extensive private land, in an area famous for its top "Frascati Wine" and its fine Extra Virgin Olive Oil, at 30 minutes drive from Rome. The Mediteranean sea side, and Anzio's famous Water Games Park are only 30 minutes away. The most ancient part of this ancient Mansion dates back to the 17th century, and the most recent part has been completed 149 years ago. The interior of the two Villas has been delicately renovated, but the exterior has been proudly safeguarded and its ancient flavour jealously intact. The rustic furniture is original, and has been in the family for generations. Roman Castles Hills in a nutshell

The Roman Castles is a Protected Regional Natural Park covered by luxuriant, century old, deep green forests. It is situated on the hills at the southern doorstep of Rome, and extends over 9500 square hectares. 15 little towns and villages nestle on the hill sides and tops. The lovely lakes of Albano, Nemi, and Castel Gandolfo,( where the Pope has his summer residence) and the luxuriant, deep green century old forests, attract thousands of local and international visitors all year round.

In this area, the European Community created an organisation called "Vita Nuova", which means New Life. It takes care of an uncontaminated area of 10 hectares, and comprises a series of guided paths that lead to the Convent of S. Silvestro. This area is ideal for excursions with high natural, geological and archaeological interest.

The Roman Castles Hills bear this name because it has been chosen by many ancient illustrious families and numerous popes as their residence. Here you can visit Villa Mondragone, Villa Parisi and Villa Falconieri, just to name a few. The Church of Saint Nilo in Grottaferrata, the Catacomb of Ad Decimum, still almost intact, the Belvedere of M. Cavo ( a natural terrace from where one can admire the lakes of Albano and Nemi in one go), are places you won't want to miss.
Wine connoisseurs may wish to visit the Wine Museum and the Art museum of "Pinacoteca di San Silvestro, in the village of Montecompatri. Another place to visit is the ASTROLAB, the astronomic observatory, located in Monte Porzio Catone.

Beside the numerous places that can be visited within the Roman Castles Hills, Rome and the Vatican City, with their immense, priceless artistic and historic wealth, are within a very short drive (in about 30 minutes you reach Rome). Furthermore, when based at Magnolia Estate, the whole of Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria are within a comfortable drive.
