Villa RAINBOW

(Montecatini Alto, Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy)

Villa RAINBOW (code Tusc12) is a magnificent four storey villa with dramatic open views onto the surrounding round top hills, typical of Tuscany. It has a lovely open air Jacuzzi tub, placed in the well manicured garden
Sleeps 10 + 2 infants.

The villa has been constructed in the style ART NOUVEAU, in the hills near Lucca, located in the ancient Tuscan village of Montecatini Alto, famous also for its thermal springs Spas. It is connected with the new Montecatini town via a funicular railway. Perched on the top of a hill, the villa's private gate is just a few steps away from "Piazzetta Giusti", the famous village square that no tourist would want to miss, because of its charming little shops, bars, and restaurants where dining is a must. The villa is surrounded by a large and well maintained garden that ensures privacy and quiet relaxation and breathtaking views. The garden is equipped with several sitting areas, including a veranda. Tables and chairs are scattered in the garden to enjoy open air meals, and an outdoor shower is there for you when you come back from the beach. A very special and unusual trait of this villa is that it has a very romantic open air jacuzi tub in the garden!
The owners, who are avid travellers, have recently refurbished the entire villa and furnished it with many exotic collectibles from trips abroad, thus giving the home a chic yet ethnic feel. The walls have been painted in vivid, colourful tints, which underlines the villa's cheerful and happy atmosphere, and gives an additional special trait to this already unique home. Ad to this the wonderful unobstructed views onto the lovely rolling green hills typical of Tuscany.
The four floors of this villa communicate through an internal staircase, and, additionally, an elevator takes you from the ground floor up to the second floor.
The property has a private fenced in garage for one large car. Two extra cars can be parked in front of the villa gates.

Tuscany in a nustshell
Tuscany is a land of charm, where the genius of man, combined with the beauty of nature, made this enchanted Region one of the most visited by travellers since the middle ages: think of vineyards and olive trees groves extending beyond the horizon, and of winding country roads lined by dark green cypress trees, and rust-coloured farmhouses and beige castles scattered everywhere on gentle, round hilltops.

Tuscany is a living sculpture. You may have visited it ten times, you still will have much more to discover about this unique region. Think of Arezzo, home town of Petrarch, father of the modern Italian language, or of Guido d’Arezzo, inventor of modern musical scale. Or think of the beautiful frescoes of Piero della Francesca or the 15th century church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. And there is old Cortona, capital of Chianti wine, and Asciano with its nearby 14th century monastery of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, and Volterra, an ancient stronghold dominating the sea with its thick ramparts and its countless masterpieces. And what about Lucca, with its intact city walls and its romantic elliptical-shaped piazza Anfiteatro, and Montepulciano with its splendid medieval churches and renaissance palaces and world-wide renowned wines. Not to speak about Florence, which is an authentic jewel box, proud of its innumerable museums, palaces and churches.
Tuscany is an architectural as well as a natural feast, with its strongly perfumed air, permeated by the scent of shrubs, bushes and spontaneous Mediterranean flowers. Everything in Tuscany speaks about beauty art and history.

Activities available:
All water sports - Golf - Horse riding - Mountain bikes - Walking -Trekking - Visits to innumerable fascinating towns and villages of, rolling hills and lush woodland and Valleys, capture the essence of Tuscany, distinguished by its relaxed, gentle pace of life and warm welcome. Its cultural heritage and timeless atmosphere is majestically crowned by Volterra, a sanctuary of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Rennaissance art and architecture. Scenic routes winding through an unspoilt, evocative landscape lead to castles, villas, Romanesque churches and Medieval villages. Ideally situated for visits to other hilltop towns and important Italian cities, only a short drive to the coast, this area is a perfect choice for a peaceful and cultural holiday in the heart of Tuscany.
