"THE CASTLE" Farmhouse is situated near the beautiful lake of Bolsena, at the regional crossroads between Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria, in the middle of a large private estate belonging to an ancient Italian noble family. The surrounding woodland is protected and untouched, and is home to century-old oaks and firs. The lake is only 9 km away, and a profusion of romantic, sunny beaches frame its crystal-clear waters. One of the Beaches is private and for exclusive use of THE CASTLE Farmhouse Guests. The numerous and cheerful beach-side restaurants serve exquisite, day-fresh lake fish and top quality Italian Wines. In 1848, the Castle became the country home to Cardinal Caterini, Advisor to Pope Pious IX. The current Caterini generation has recently refurbished the old "Casale" and prepared 8 charming independent apartments for Guests. The Apartments are spacious, well furnished with many pieces of the original family furniture, thus offering a fascinating return to bygone centuries. They are all fitted with modern appliances to suit contemporary travellers.
The large swimming pool is surrounded by well kept lawns, a shaded terrace, a small private restaurant as well as a spacious games room. The CASTLE Farmhouse owner takes pride in his estate and very willingly guides his guests on a horseback exploration tour of his land.

Prices include:
Electricity, gas and water consumption - Initial Cleaning - 1 set of bed linen per bed per week and 1 bathroom towel per person per week - cleaning and maintenance of the swimming pools and garden prior to Guests arrival - All taxes.
Prices do not include:
Final Cleaning (Euro 80) - Refundable Breakage Deposit (Euro 200) - Heating during the cooler season (metered).
